The Joys of Fall

There’s so much to love about fall – the sound of the marching band practicing at the high school a few
blocks away, the crisp cool air, the crunch of fallen leaves as you walk down your driveway, buying pumpkins and cider and other fall goodies – but I’d have to say my favorite part is the colors the leaves turn.

There’s this one color certain maple leaves turn, a kind of orangey pink, that looks like captured sunsets, and another one that looks like bottled sunshine, yellow bright enough to light our upstairs bathroom through the uncurtained window. I’ve been trying all week to catch the colors with my camera, for the coming winter days when
everything is gray and black and white, but they just don’t look the same in photos. Thanks for the gorgeous color show, Lord!
